Andrew is a well respected and motivational manager, with a strong commercial focus and extensive experience up to Director level. He has worked within the Voluntary , Public and Private Sectors developing new systems, processes and techniques aimed at improving productivity, efficiency and profitable growth. He possesses excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively driving cultural change.
Andrew specialises in supporting social enterprises and charities with robust business advice and guidance. He has led several council ‘spin-out’ activities, including Healthwatch Torbay, Torbay Youth trust, Sleep South West, South West Family Values CIC and the Devon library service. His experience across public and private sectors resulted in productivity gains through re-engineering process (BPRE) and waste reduction. He has led on delivering business support for SERCO, The Torbay Development Agency, The Torbay Social Enterprise Network and Big Lottery across Devon and Somerset.
Andrew`s previous experience leading multi-national organisations has given him the knowledge technically and behaviourally to facilitate improvements in organisational cost base, quality services development and performance management. He has established new business out of a partial acquisition, building business processes from scratch in order to meet stringent customer requirement and quality accreditations. He utilises a mapping exercise to determine a business process flow to achieve outputs and meet user`s needs.
He has acted as a business analyst, challenging existing approaches and working to develop innovative new solutions to improve outcomes. He adopts an agile style approach, breaking processed down into work-flows. He is qualified in the analysis of the Social Return on Investment (SROI) to support funding applications through publicly funded initiatives requiring the associated standards and regulations for public audit.
