One major way a local community group or not for profit organisation can grow quickly is via a asset transfer from local authorities, parish councils, NHS bodies, a housing association or another charity. They sometimes do this when reassessing their asset portfolio, priorities, finances or simply recognising that services can be delivered by another providor.
